Free consultation
A custom team, picked from our creative media specialists and technical consultants, can visit you in order to understand your objectives. Our consultants outnumber sales staff at a ratio of 3:1 so our advice is always impartial and vendor neutral. They will work with you and your ICT team to establish the best solution so that everyone is happy with the outcome.
Configured before delivery
If you choose this optional service we will customise and bench-test your systems prior to delivery. That way, you can be confident that unpleasant surprises will be avoided and any disruption during installation is short-lived.
Installation
Whether you just need a helping hand because you’re busy, or you’d prefer to have experienced people giving you guidance and doing the heavy lifting, we have a range of installation services available. Here are some examples:
- Basic desktop computer deployment – We’ve performed roll-outs of thousands of desktop computers, always complying with the needs of the school. We’ll unpack the computer and connect everything up, ready for use.
- Image creation and roll-out – Taking your specifications, we’ll build a computer “master image” ready for cloning to other computers. This image can be copied to a server or portable storage, ready for rapid installation on any number of new computers using your preferred method.
- Server or RAID storage – With more specialised or technical systems, we’ll typically rack mount the hardware, configure the server operating system, and set up the relevant applications. Finally, we’ll pass on our knowledge to the appropriate people in your team, so they know how to keep it all ticking over nicely.
- Integration and configuration of OS X Server with Active Directory – This is required by many schools and local authorities for ease of management. We will liaise with ICT staff in order to understand your existing computer infrastructure and suggest best practices for efficient integration. We will bind OS X server, for example, into your Active Directory and configure Open Directory so you can manage the preferences of your Apple Macs too.
- Specialised Audiovisual equipment – Do you need to install projectors on high ceilings? Plasma screens? Interactive whiteboards? Our AV Technicians are PASMA trained and certified, so we’ve got safety and regulatory compliance covered.
Ongoing support
- Desktop/client systems - We offer extended hardware warranties, for two to five years, with telephone troubleshooting for operating system and hardware. All options include a five day repair service. Choose between the “return-to-base” package - which includes courier collection - and “on-site” package, which gives you a qualified engineer, present on your premises, next business day.
- Server support - Our basic offering covers four-hour-response by remote dial-in, plus telephone support. Additional on-site hardware support is available with next-business-day response.
- Active Directory integration support – Available for both Mac client/desktop computers and Mac OS X servers.
